I received an email that said "Your payment was on it's way" but I knew that I was not due for another payday until June 4th. I have to admit, my heart stopped a little for a second but then I think I remember a couple of other sellers posting about this in a Facebook group so I tried not to panic. I contacted Seller Support right away because otherwise it was going to bug me all night.
I'm happy to report that Amazon was performing maintenance and some of the accounts disbursed early for some reason. I was told that I will still be paid on June 4th as scheduled. So, my payments are going to look lower because the time period between them was reduced this one time.
I made a total of $595.30 for the 8 days that did get recorded. As you can see, I was on track to making more than my last payment before the pay period got cut short. My next one will lower I suspect too because it's only going to be a 6 day period of sales. I can't complain, I'm happy to get the money early and start re-investing early in some more inventory!
I got a miracle today when I went to check my Alexa Rankings for this website. I'm not even sure what made me look this morning but I did. Low and behold, I, the Little Mom From Nowhere, have a U.S. ranking!! Miracles. I believe in them because they happen daily! I hope you looking for miracles, EXPECT to find them in unexpected places! This was an unexpected place for sure! I knew I had been gaining some traffic but I did not expect to have a U.S. Ranking at all!

Honestly, I know it's silly, but I always wanted a U.S. Rank, I've got a global rank on all my websites, but I don't have U.S. Rank, this is special to me. This is an unexpected miracle for sure!! Praise Jesus! I started this blog as a way to keep myself inspired and moving forward, it's been such a blessing watching it grow! Have a U.S. Ranking on Alexa was always a goal but I certainly didn't wake up this morning thinking I had reached it.

My 4th Amazon FBA payment is on it's way to me! I made a total of $718.60 this time, that's about $310 more than the last payment I received 2 weeks ago. Right now, my target is to get out at least two shipments a week, but I know I don't always meet that goal but I aim for it the best that I can.
Amazon Gated Grocery, HPC and Beauty! Oh My!
Last week, Amazon gated the Grocery, Health and Personal Care and Beauty categories for new sellers. Although there are a lot of categories still left to choose from for new sellers, this was quite the blow to some. I know people who had their first boxes packed and ready to send to FBA when this happened, the items in those boxes were in those newly gated categories.
Where does this leave me? For one, God always takes care of me, He really does. I just happen to already be selling in these categories for just under a month so I was grandfathered in before the gate came down! What does that mean? It means, I was already approved in these categories because I had made sales in them already. Praise Jesus! I had only been selling in these categories for a short time but it was just enough to get me in! Just wow! I can't thank God enough for watching over me, directing me and blessing me the way He does. I missed that gate coming down on my head by a few sales each in category and there was no way I could have known this was coming. God watches over me, love my Lord!
I made a total of $108.58 in Share-a-sale for the month of April, which is paid out in May. I love those 30 day wait periods! I make about $100 a month with Share a Sale selling things for WayFair, you know, a zillion things home.
I made about $4 less than I did last month. May is moving a little slower than April, and it tends to slow down in Summertime, I'm used to that. People start buying again around back to school time and then again during the holidays. I'm grateful for every dime and hopeful that maybe summer won't be slow, you just never know.
I just started doing Amazon FBA in March and the first goal I set for myself was to get to 100 sales in a 30 day period. At the time I set it a couple months ago it seemed very hard to do, even two weeks ago, it still seemed very hard to do - but late last night I reached that goal! I watched the number hit 100 and it kept going! I went to sleep with a gigantic smile on my face.
Today, I am still over 100 sales in the 30 day mark and my total is climbing. My last payout was $407.78 and I thought that was pretty exciting because it was $200 more than the one before that! It looks like this payout coming up on May 21st (still 5 days of sales to go) is going to be even higher!! My total is already sitting at $540.15 with five days remaining until payout. I'm super excited about this because I've started out with very little money and it's growing day by day. I spent some money on coaching that has really helped me immensely, Duane is ridiculously awesome and it was money well spent. The support from my friends at Pajama Affiliates has been overwhelming and I'm very grateful to God for all the blessings coming my way.
6 Days at $100+ in Ordered Sales!!
If you would have told me last week I would be making $100 a day for 6 days in a row this week I wouldn't have believed you, but I'm doing it!! For 6 consecutive days straight, I have had $100+ in ordered sales.
I'm so busy with FBA that I don't have a lot of time right now. Once I get over the learning curve, I will have more time to focus on writing sites like these. Maybe not this one specifically but I miss writing for WritEdge, the community is awesome, they pay me per view and the owners are pretty bad ass in my opinion. I don't want FBA to consume my life because writing really is my passion, having a voice is more important to me than having a store on Amazon, although I'm grateful to do both. Having multiple streams of income is also important, in case one goes down - and that has happened to me in the past.
Well, my third Amazon FBA payment is on its way to my bank! Hooray! I made a total of $407.78 this time! That is $214.12 more than the payment from two weeks ago. My total was higher because as I learn more about FBA, I send in MORE products to test. Also, I had a killer sale on a $127 book that put me over the top! Books are by far the my greatest asset at FBA because I spend very little to acquire them. I sit in the thrift stores here in town once a week with my 12-year-old daughter and we scan books. It's fun mother-daughter time, we get something to drink and then have a seat on the floor and scan books for profit.
I know a lot of people won't touch books because it's time consuming, but for me, the pay per hour is worth it and I'm getting quality time with my daughter. My faster sales do not come from books, but the bigger dollar amounts do, so I'm always going to be a book thrifter for FBA, even when I start turning thousands a month.
I am feeling very grateful for all the blessings that God has shown me. Three months ago, I didn't even know what "FBA" stood for. True story. Now, through the various paths and circumstances, here I am. It's mind blowing sometimes how everything falls into place perfectly even when I feel like it is all falling apart at the moment. It's amazing how all the little things start to add up into the big picture!
I'm fairly new to FBA. I just started a little less than two months ago. To start, I was just sending in books and items from the thrift store. I would spend a couple hours a week in a thrift store scanning old books and buying the ones that had value. I would also scan any new items I found at the thrift store, because a lot of people get rid of things when they are still new in the box.
I made my first sale two days after my first shipment hit the shelves, that was really exciting! Now that I have over 200 items in the Amazon warehouse, I'm starting to see a little more money each week. Yesterday, I had my best sales day yet (granted everything ships). I sold 5 items yesterday, one of which was a $127 book that I thrifted for $2. In one day, my ordered product sales were $207.42! That is my BEST DAY so far!
Keeping my spirits up!
Ever since the Squidoo fall, I've been working very hard to pick up the slack. It's hard sometimes to pick yourself up and keep going when you take a hit like that. So, how do I do it? How do I stay motivated to keep going and never give up?
Working at home is not a job - it's a lifestyle. It's a lifestyle that I have become very fond of. I enjoy staying home with my children, I enjoy having the freedom to do whatever it is I want to do. It's going to take a lot more than some website ripping me off to change how I feel about working from home.
God is my SOURCE. Amazon, Share-a-Sale, Squidoo, etc - those are just instruments that God uses but God, and only God, is my TOTAL SOURCE. When I lose an income, I know that God is still my source. My need is His need, HIS SUPPLY is my supply. According to God's riches - not man's, I will prosper. I will give God my best and in return, He will give me His best! If God is for me, nothing, and I mean nothing, can stand against. Once these truths resonate deep in your mind, heart and soul - you are limitless!
So What is VigLink?
Viglink is like Share-a-Sale, they pay you to use their merchant links on your blogs. Some of their merchants include the Disney Store, Amazon and eBay to name a few big ones. So, if you can't use Amazon in your state, you should check if you can use Viglink instead. You don't receive as high of a commission but at least you can use Amazon right?
How does it work?
Sign up for an account, it's pretty easy to get approved.
Browse the websites that you want to use, like Amazon, eBay or the Disney Store for example.
Copy the URL of the product and paste it in the Viglink Anywhere Converter (once you sign up).
That link will spit out a referral link with your affiliate ID in it.
When someone buys something through that link, you get a commission for the sale.
I made a total of $490.62 in Amazon this month, That's about $150 less than last month. I figured it was going to be lower but at least my conversion is getting better and better each month. Last month I had a conversion rate of 7.72% and this month I'm up to 9.37%, that's definitely a good thing.
Amazon FBA is taking a lot of my time this past month because I'm trying to learn as much as I can to get my income back up after the Squidoo fall. I just signed up for some coaching so I'm really excited to get going on that. I'm due for another FBA payout on May 7th so stay tuned for those numbers. It should most definitely be higher than my last one and hopefully they will continue to grow steadily.
