I'm pretty excited to see that my global and US rank have gone up in the last month. I was sitting at 750,000 globally and 237,326 in the United States and I'm currently sitting at 676,268 globally and 183,972 in the United States. That's exciting stuff for me! I will continue to track my progress in this area and check back in a month or so.
I finally got paid from Bubblews, better late than never I suppose. I made a total of $50.20 for the views I received.
I had to write them and threaten them but they did eventually send the money. I won't be writing there anymore, I'm only going to be visiting friends who still use the site (and that number is decreasing rapidly).
Do you like pay per view sites?
Daily Two Cents pays and they allow you to use affiliate links!
ShareASale sent out payments for June, I made a total of $56.91 for the month of May. You have to make at least $50 to be paid from ShareASale, that's the threshold. I'm happy that I made it because it came really close to being rolled over. Praise God, I'm already at that amount for June, so I know there will be a higher payment next month.
I love that ShareASale pays in 30 days, industry standard is 60 days and Zujava makes me wait something like 120 days... a little much if you ask me but it has something to do with when their bank rolls over the deposits from Amazon. I made about half of what I did the previous month, Summer is a little slower for me but June is already looking better.
I have multiple streams of income coming in and the totals fluctuate from month to month, season to season - that's why it is important to spread yourself out so you aren't too dependent on one source all the time.
My 7th Amazon FBA payment is on its way, I made a total of $936.29 for the last two weeks! I'm pretty excited about that, it's a little less than the last payment but that's because I haven't shipped a box to Amazon in 3 weeks!! That's crazy business!
I usually send out 1-2 shipments a week since I started in March but I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to do much the past few weeks. I went out of state for a week and when I returned I had to play catch up and put out a few fires that Satan had set while I was gone.
I had my best day even though I didn't ship anything...
Despite not shipping anything for a few weeks, I had my best sales day June 17th when I made $216.41! In fact, I had two $200 days in one week this time around which made me feel incredibly blessed beyond belief considering the circumstances.
I am working on a shipment tonight to send out tomorrow and hopefully I will get my FBA ball rolling again. It's been a really rough couple of weeks, I have a lot of personal stuff going on. Times are tough ever since Squidoo took my account. Praise Jesus, I'm not alone, I don't have to be anxious for anything; God is providing. I still feel pressure like anyone else would, I'm not immune to the devil's whispers of doubt, I see the hole in our budget but I know that God is going to send my miracles right when I need them. I'm going to keep planting good seeds and know that my harvest will come in due season.
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
I sent a message to Bubblews because it had been 7 days since I hit the redeem button. We are supposed to be notified that payment is being sent within 5-7 days. After a week with no payment initiated, I went ahead and sent them a quick note via the contact button... notice the last line of my message....
Yes, I threatened to blog about their injustice if they did not respond to me about the payment they owe. I'm in no mood to put up with them, they have already wronged so many writers I know that I didn't mess around.
Well... I did get a response to my message. Bubblews informed that they were backed up and that my payment would be sent June 24th.
Is Bubblews Telling the Truth?
I don't recommend Bubblews to anyone anymore. There have been way to many reports of people not being paid. If you want to write for a site that pays per view, I suggest you try Daily Two Cents or WritEdge. Both sites are reputable sites that PAY. Daily Two Cents and WritEdge are higher quality websites so you don't have to worry about the errors, non-payments and other nonsense that you get with Bubblews. Even if you do love Bublews, it's always good to spread yourself out, don't put all your eggs in one basket (or Bubble), write for multiple sites and earn multiple streams of income because you never know when one is going to dry up.
Zujava paid! Hooray! I made a total of $115.11 for the month of March, which was paid out in June 2014. That's $42 more than last month, I'm happy about that. I wasn't sure what to expect with Zujava, I never really know how much I made over there until payday and even then, there is no breakdown of earnings given per leaf. I have some referrals that I'm supposed to be earning 20% from but with no breakdown of earnings, it's hard to know. I'm not a fan of their system but I'm a huge fan of paydays that result in a $100 or more! Yippee! I have no idea what next month will look like - it's always a surprise at the Zu.
WritEdge sent out payments for June 2014. I made a total of $7.01, not bad because I don't have a ton of articles over there and I haven't been as active as I would like to be. I just got back from a wedding out of state so I'm still trying to catch up on everything. It always seems like something is going on!
I was writing at WritEdge before they even had a pay per view model because it's a high quality site run by good people. It's rare that you get to be a part of something that you know is going to be great! I think we'll see WritEdge pass up sites like Hubpages, Squidoo and Bubblews in no time. They are just getting started and the sky is the limit for them because of the quality that site puts out.
I rarely go to Bubblews at all. My last redeem was 8 months ago. They've changed the rules a lot since I first started, I quit writing there because it was too time consuming to keep up with. I still visit my friends articles and I have articles there that still gain views apparently.
Since my last redeem in October 2013, I've heard more stories of people not being paid at all. A lot of these people who were not paid are people I know personally, so I know that it's Bubblews NOT them. Seasoned online writers have been cheated out of their Bubblews payments more times than I can count. Today, I was visiting a friends post when I decided to check my balance. I had $50.20 in my bank so I hit the "Redeem Now" button in an attempt to get my money. I wonder if they will pay me at all?
I don't plan to be active on Bubblews very much even if they do send the money I'm owed just because it's not a quality website by any means. I do enjoy pay per view websites, but I prefer to write for WritEdge or Daily Two Cents instead because I know they are going to pay me and the overall quality of the sites is way better.
My latest payment from Amazon FBA was for $369.69! They paid out early last time because of maintenance so this would have been added to the $595.30 that I made last week. For this two week period I made a total of $964.99 which is almost a thousand dollars!! So cool! That's $246 more than the 4th payment was!
I've been out of town for the last week so my 7th payment might not go up because I haven't been sourcing and shipping. I'm spending some time today catching up on my blogs and other activities, hopefully I'll have time this week to source and ship. The only problem with Amazon FBA is that you have to be constantly keeping up with your inventory levels and shipping or you don't make as much money.
Subscription Vs. One-Time Flat Fee
All the groups I have paid for are a one-time, flat fee and that's what I prefer because monthly payments are not my thing. When I set up my paid Facebook mastermind group I went with a one-time fee for a lifetime membership. I prefer paying for groups with a one-time fee and so that's how I set up mine.
Create Your Own Paid Facebook Group
Most paid Facebook mastermind groups are for coaching in various areas. Decide on what services you're going to have for your paid mastermind and then create yourself a sales page for your paid group. Your sales page should be on your own website for authenticity.
Decide on a price that you are going to charge for your paid Facebook group. Decide whether or not its going to be an on-going monthly subscription or a one-time flat rate. There are pros and cons to both. I prefer the one-time payment method but you can decide what is best for you.
Set-up buttons in Paypal to accept payments. Paypal will give you the HTML to insert the button on your website. Paypal seems to be the method most trust. Also, consider offering a payment plan option for people.
Set-up a closed or secret group on Facebook with one other person you trust. Facebook will not allow you to set-up a group without adding another member first. Pick someone you get along with and who won't undermine you in your own group.
Market and social share your sales page for your Facebook group once you have your sales page set-up and your group ready to accept new members. Consider offering a referral program that pays a % to friends who refer others to your group if you are needing a boost for your first time.
Jaaxy paid me $24.00 for some sign-ups I had. If you are using Jaaxy and like it, it's definitely something you should recommend to others because their referral program is pretty good. They give you $8 a month on every sign-up you get to their basic service. They do have a premium service, not sure what it's called exactly but it's an outrageous amount of money. I pay for the basic $19 a month plan and even that is a little higher than I like but it does make keyword research ridiculously easy. It saves me hours of research time so to me, it justifies the cost.
If it wasn't so easy....
I'm really not a fan of monthly subscription fees because they can become draining but Jaaxy is so EASY TO USE that I can't seem to get away from it. I know how to find a keyword myself, but this tool reduces the time it takes to seconds!
I'm a slave to convenience... time is money.
I made a total of $380.95 in Amazon Associates for May 2014. That's about $110 less than last month. It was expected, summer is pretty slow for me and I have been putting so much effort into learning FBA that I haven't really been keeping up with my blogging as much as I should. Hopefully I will be able to balance out my workload a little better once I get the hang of the FBA thing.
It's not so much the learning and sourcing thats got me hung up as it is the sales tax issue. I'm in the process of getting my resale certificate for multiple states so that I can comply with the whacky tax laws that are involved. Once I get the paperwork end smoothed out and get over the learning curve, I will go back to my first love, writing.
My blogs and articles are what drive the Amazon Associates sales up, so I need make sure I give them the attention they deserve. My blogs are my first love over FBA anyway. I realize there is probably way more money in FBA (at the moment) but in the long run, I like income that pays out over and over again.
