I made another sale and I'm positive this one came from Pinterest this time. Last time I'm pretty sure too but this confirms it. Pinning pretty bedroom decor on Pinterest from my blog is actually making me money now! This is very exciting and I think I will keep this purple blog as a Pinterest test site. I think when it comes to decor, a pretty picture is all you need to sell something to someone, so we shall see.
I got the email late last night that Zujava had paid, that was cool! I made a total of $69.44 minus $1.00 for the PayPal fee. $68.44 was deposited in my Paypal account from Zujava at about 10:00pm on 10/14/2013. That's $53.30 more than I made last month, so that's a good thing. I'm still unaware of the payment breakdown at Zujava, sure wish they would send more details so I know what the heck I've been paid for without having to manually go through the sales for each leaf myself, but that's an email for another day I guess.
I haven't made anything new at Zujava, I'm still having trust issues with sites I don't own. I am happy to see that I am earnings and the earnings did increase this month. That's a good thing and I'm grateful for it.
I just started a new blog this year called Purple Bedroom Ideas, it corresponds with a lens I did on the same topic a couple of years ago. Purple is not my favorite color but is more popular than my favorite color so I started a blog full of purple bedroom ideas because I thought it could fair well. I made MY FIRST SALE on this blog and I do believe that it came from Pinterest. I have a purple bedroom ideas board on Pinterest that I share the different products from and it is being followed a lot. I sold this beautiful purple headboard and I remember I shared it on Pinterest.
I think that if you have a blog with excellent product pictures that Pinterest is a great place to share those. I have been seeing a lot of traffic from Pinterest lately and I do believe this sale came from there.
This months earnings on Squidoo came to a total of $469.64 which is $200 LESS than last month. Squidoo is sinking fast, last year at this time I made over $3000 in the August payout. It's sad what they have done to Squidoo but all I can do is dust off my sandals and move forward. Obviously, the Lord wants me to move on and I'm not going to ask questions, just going to do it. I am grateful to God for this $469.64 and I hope this is the last month that it drops, but if not, I will just keep on going, because that's what I do.
The one thing I have learned this year was not to put all my online eggs in one basket. I did that with Squidoo because I was making SO much last year. That was a mistake, when it tanked, I had very little on other sites to fall back. I'm trying not to make that mistake this year. That's why I have spread myself out and started my own blogs and began my adventures at Zujava. I'm not getting to into Zujava though out of fear of being treated the same way Squidoo treated me this past year. I would rather not have too much in one place unless I own the site.
Here is the email I got stating I would be paid for my 6th redemption. It came 3 days after I pressed the redeem button. It normally takes about 72 hours to get the email and then the funds are sent about 72 hours after that.
How I Make Money On Zazzle
Place Zazzle products on my pages and sell them. Ha Ha How basic was that? No seriously, I am no Zazzle expert, how I use Zazzle is probably different than the next guy but I use Zazzle to compliment my pages. Similar to how I use Allposters.com, I place the zazzle products on my pages to make them look nice. For example, if I have a page about beach theme decor in the home, I would add some of the zazzle throw pillows that match that theme.
I've also made stand alone pages for Zazzle products in the past; wedding invitations are something that I liked writing about. I try to choose things that have larger commissions, such as toss pillows or iPhone cases. Invitations are usually ordered in bulk, weddings are the largest gathering for invitations, unless you are having one hell of a birthday party or baby shower (but that's rare). Choose things that are going to make you some money; cases for electronics and toss pillows are two larger $$ items.
As far as the commissions go, it's a percentage of what you sell plus you earn bonus money if you reach different dollar amounts of product sold. Honestly, it's so confusing that I don't know how their pay system works. Most of the time I use the product as a compliment to a page so I don't really expect to much of it. That may seem like a waste of time but really, over time, the more pages you've done this too, the greater the chance someone is going to click and buy something. It happens to me all the time now, that's what these payments are from.
I love the emails in my inbox that tell me I have money! No matter what the amount, I'm always like "Oh yea! Cha-Ching!" This month, Art.com (Allposters Affilate Program) sent me $55.08 for my sales in the month of August. Now, I'm not this huge art dealer, not like I'd like to be, that's for sure, but I do sell the occasional poster here and there. The commissions are pretty high over at Art.com and if the shopper gets the artwork framed, it's more $$.
Art.com (AllPosters) is one of the first affiliate programs I ever signed up for 6 years ago, seriously! I remember another marketer telling me I would always need pretty pictures of things (and it's true). Whether you blog about food, kids, crafts, history, finance; there's always some nice photo, painting or artwork to compliment your site somewhere. I love popping in posters in different places and as you can tell, once and awhile, I sell some! I never use the posters as the main product on any of my sites, it's usually just a compliment in color or topic to the page.
In my previous post about keyword research, I mentioned that Jaaxy has an affiliate program that you can be a part of. For every sign-up that you refer, you will receive $8 per month (as long as they continue to be members). Jaaxy membership is $19 a month, so to get $8 back on every single order is a great deal! Now I'm not out promoting Jaaxy on social media or other websites (besides this one), but maybe I should be? At $8 a pop, it certainly seems worth it if it fits your niche. I have one sign-up from someone I told about the product. Every month, as long as my sign-up pays her membership dues of $19 a month, I will receive $8 from it.
October 2013 Payout
Paypal sent me an email this morning! Yah!
This month, I received a $24 payout for the commissions I earned on that one sale. Jaaxy will pay you when you have reached $20 in your account. So every three months, I receive $24 as long as my sign-up continues to be signed up. Couldn't we all use little drops of change like this? I know I can!
