I'm no longer selling 40 items a month at the moment but I decided I would still pay for the PRO plan for one more month. I paid the $39.99 on the 13th for one more month because I really enjoy having access to all the reports and earnings, not to mention if you're not on the PRO plan, you have to wait longer to be paid. I'm not sure if I'll continue paying for it next month, it really just depends on whether or not I'm making anymore sales. So we shall see what happens. Amazon FBA is not my focus at all so I'm grateful for the little bit I do make every two weeks.
I got another payment from Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) for a total of $68.81 on 10/08/2014. It took me 8 days to even get this blog post up because I've been so busy working on blog posts for the upcoming holidays. $68 is hardly something to stop the presses for... ha ha Still, it's money right?
This is my 14th payment from Amazon FBA, I made a total of $130.21. That's about $100 less than the last payment but it's pretty good considering I'm not doing anything with FBA anymore.
I got another payment from Amazon FBA sales, I made a total of $224.10 for sales over the last two weeks. I'm still shocked that I'm making money considering my last shipment was sent in back in July. This payment was about $40 less than the last one but considering that it's just items from the thrift store, I'm not concerned with the decrease.
Amazon sent my 12th payment for $266.89. I have actually quit selling on Amazon, but this is just leftover inventory from months ago. This is all slower turning inventory from my thrift store shopping. I haven't shipped a box in I don't even know how long, it's been over a month I believe. My last payment was a little more but not bad for a chick who isn't sending anything into the warehouse anymore!
I am still paying the $40 a month fee to be a pro seller but I'm not sure that I will continue to pay that next month. If I cancel the pro seller account, I don't get paid every two weeks like I used too, that kinda blows. Amazon holds your money longer if you are an individual seller which kinda sucks! I'm not sure what I'm going to do right now, stay tuned. Right now I'm busy cleaning up my mess over at Zujava; in light of their recent Amazon restriction.
I got my 11th Amazon FBA payment, it was for $274.46. That's about $75 less than the last payment. I did have to pay the $39.99 fee this time around, so that takes a bite out of my profits. I haven't sent in any inventory in well over a month because I'm planning on getting out of the Amazon FBA program once my stuff is all sold. I have about 230 items still left in my inventory to sell before I'm completely through. The sales tax issue turned out to be more than I could handle.
With all the major holidays coming up, I'm ready to focus more on selling for Amazon rather than selling on Amazon. Amazon Associates is where the bulk of my affiliate earnings come in from, so I need to work on getting more blog posts published so that I can make the most of the season like I did last year.
My 10th Amazon FBA payment is on its way to me! I made a total of $348.89 which is lower than the last payout. I have to admit, Amazon FBA hasn't really been my strong suit lately. I've lost a lot of interest in selling on Amazon because of all the work that it involves. It's very time consuming and all the numbers give me a headache. I'm a writer, a blogger, I don't want to do numbers - I want to write. Most people who enjoy writing are not numbers kind of people and as much as everyone wants to make Amazon FBA sound like easy money; it's really not for everyone. If you don't enjoy doing math and paperwork, Amazon FBA might not be for you. Besides having to track all your costs of goods sold (yuck) you also have to deal with sales taxes every single month! Ewwww..
Will I be continuing with Amazon FBA?
I don't know if I will be continuing Amazon FBA at the moment. I still have about 230 items in my inventory, they are slower turning items from the thrift store. Right now, I'm trying to grow my affiliate commissions and get my toy blog ready for Q4. The majority of my annual income comes in during Q4 so I have to be prepared.
I've learned a lot about Amazon FBA and I'm pretty good at it when I want to be, but I'm lacking motivation right now. I don't want to track expenses anymore, I don't want pack boxes for shipment, I don't want do monthly sales tax reports to all the different states that my inventory is stored in. I don't wanna! There's a lot more work involved in selling on Amazon than I thought.
I'm a blogger, I like writing, reviewing products and doing my taxes once a year! I am an honest person and when I feel like something is not right for me, I will say so. I can't sell you on the Amazon FBA lifestyle when I feel like it's not for everyone. I'm grateful to God for giving me this learning experience and providing income for me through this program, but I'm not sure how long I will continue to do this.
My FBA Turnoffs Include:
Amazon FBA is not for everyone. It's a good program for some and not for others. I'm not a numbers girl, I don't enjoy a lot of what is involved in this other than the money! Making money is awesome, but for me, it has to be enjoyable. I will continue to work on multiple streams of income, but I'm sure how much longer FBA will be one of them. That's the honest truth!
Well, my 9th payment is not as high as the last but I don't care.. ha ha I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to send in any inventory and I'm still making money! I'm kind of lazy when it comes to manual labor and although I love shopping for inventory, I hate having to prep it and ship it. I've had a box of stuff sitting here for way too long and I plan on shipping it tomorrow. I made a total of $515.22 this time around and I'm quite happy with it to be honest considering the majority of it is slower turning inventory items.
I have only shipped one box in the last month and a half and I am still making some decent money so I'm very happy about that. The money that I'm making is coming from the used books and some lower ranking items I picked up at the thrift store.
My 8th Amazon FBA payment is on the way, I made a total of $865.49. It's a little less than last time because I haven't been sending in a lot of inventory these past few weeks. I hope to pick up the pace here soon, keeping up with it all can be hard sometimes but I do what I can, when I can and let God work out the rest. I'm still trying to find that right balance of my time because I am a full-time mom first and foremost, then I have my blogs and online articles that need my attention too. I do plan to get out sourcing at some point today and tomorrow because there are lots of good sales going on for 4th of July.
My 7th Amazon FBA payment is on its way, I made a total of $936.29 for the last two weeks! I'm pretty excited about that, it's a little less than the last payment but that's because I haven't shipped a box to Amazon in 3 weeks!! That's crazy business!
I usually send out 1-2 shipments a week since I started in March but I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to do much the past few weeks. I went out of state for a week and when I returned I had to play catch up and put out a few fires that Satan had set while I was gone.
I had my best day even though I didn't ship anything...
Despite not shipping anything for a few weeks, I had my best sales day June 17th when I made $216.41! In fact, I had two $200 days in one week this time around which made me feel incredibly blessed beyond belief considering the circumstances.
I am working on a shipment tonight to send out tomorrow and hopefully I will get my FBA ball rolling again. It's been a really rough couple of weeks, I have a lot of personal stuff going on. Times are tough ever since Squidoo took my account. Praise Jesus, I'm not alone, I don't have to be anxious for anything; God is providing. I still feel pressure like anyone else would, I'm not immune to the devil's whispers of doubt, I see the hole in our budget but I know that God is going to send my miracles right when I need them. I'm going to keep planting good seeds and know that my harvest will come in due season.
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
My latest payment from Amazon FBA was for $369.69! They paid out early last time because of maintenance so this would have been added to the $595.30 that I made last week. For this two week period I made a total of $964.99 which is almost a thousand dollars!! So cool! That's $246 more than the 4th payment was!
I've been out of town for the last week so my 7th payment might not go up because I haven't been sourcing and shipping. I'm spending some time today catching up on my blogs and other activities, hopefully I'll have time this week to source and ship. The only problem with Amazon FBA is that you have to be constantly keeping up with your inventory levels and shipping or you don't make as much money.
I received an email that said "Your payment was on it's way" but I knew that I was not due for another payday until June 4th. I have to admit, my heart stopped a little for a second but then I think I remember a couple of other sellers posting about this in a Facebook group so I tried not to panic. I contacted Seller Support right away because otherwise it was going to bug me all night.
Relax. Just a little maintenance!
I'm happy to report that Amazon was performing maintenance and some of the accounts disbursed early for some reason. I was told that I will still be paid on June 4th as scheduled. So, my payments are going to look lower because the time period between them was reduced this one time.
My 5th Payment in Amazon FBA
I made a total of $595.30 for the 8 days that did get recorded. As you can see, I was on track to making more than my last payment before the pay period got cut short. My next one will lower I suspect too because it's only going to be a 6 day period of sales. I can't complain, I'm happy to get the money early and start re-investing early in some more inventory!
My 4th Amazon FBA payment is on it's way to me! I made a total of $718.60 this time, that's about $310 more than the last payment I received 2 weeks ago. Right now, my target is to get out at least two shipments a week, but I know I don't always meet that goal but I aim for it the best that I can.
Amazon Gated Grocery, HPC and Beauty! Oh My!
Last week, Amazon gated the Grocery, Health and Personal Care and Beauty categories for new sellers. Although there are a lot of categories still left to choose from for new sellers, this was quite the blow to some. I know people who had their first boxes packed and ready to send to FBA when this happened, the items in those boxes were in those newly gated categories.
Where does this leave me? For one, God always takes care of me, He really does. I just happen to already be selling in these categories for just under a month so I was grandfathered in before the gate came down! What does that mean? It means, I was already approved in these categories because I had made sales in them already. Praise Jesus! I had only been selling in these categories for a short time but it was just enough to get me in! Just wow! I can't thank God enough for watching over me, directing me and blessing me the way He does. I missed that gate coming down on my head by a few sales each in category and there was no way I could have known this was coming. God watches over me, love my Lord!
I just started doing Amazon FBA in March and the first goal I set for myself was to get to 100 sales in a 30 day period. At the time I set it a couple months ago it seemed very hard to do, even two weeks ago, it still seemed very hard to do - but late last night I reached that goal! I watched the number hit 100 and it kept going! I went to sleep with a gigantic smile on my face.
Today, I am still over 100 sales in the 30 day mark and my total is climbing. My last payout was $407.78 and I thought that was pretty exciting because it was $200 more than the one before that! It looks like this payout coming up on May 21st (still 5 days of sales to go) is going to be even higher!! My total is already sitting at $540.15 with five days remaining until payout. I'm super excited about this because I've started out with very little money and it's growing day by day. I spent some money on coaching that has really helped me immensely, Duane is ridiculously awesome and it was money well spent. The support from my friends at Pajama Affiliates has been overwhelming and I'm very grateful to God for all the blessings coming my way.
6 Days at $100+ in Ordered Sales!!
If you would have told me last week I would be making $100 a day for 6 days in a row this week I wouldn't have believed you, but I'm doing it!! For 6 consecutive days straight, I have had $100+ in ordered sales.
Well, my third Amazon FBA payment is on its way to my bank! Hooray! I made a total of $407.78 this time! That is $214.12 more than the payment from two weeks ago. My total was higher because as I learn more about FBA, I send in MORE products to test. Also, I had a killer sale on a $127 book that put me over the top! Books are by far the my greatest asset at FBA because I spend very little to acquire them. I sit in the thrift stores here in town once a week with my 12-year-old daughter and we scan books. It's fun mother-daughter time, we get something to drink and then have a seat on the floor and scan books for profit.
I know a lot of people won't touch books because it's time consuming, but for me, the pay per hour is worth it and I'm getting quality time with my daughter. My faster sales do not come from books, but the bigger dollar amounts do, so I'm always going to be a book thrifter for FBA, even when I start turning thousands a month.
I am feeling very grateful for all the blessings that God has shown me. Three months ago, I didn't even know what "FBA" stood for. True story. Now, through the various paths and circumstances, here I am. It's mind blowing sometimes how everything falls into place perfectly even when I feel like it is all falling apart at the moment. It's amazing how all the little things start to add up into the big picture!
I'm fairly new to FBA. I just started a little less than two months ago. To start, I was just sending in books and items from the thrift store. I would spend a couple hours a week in a thrift store scanning old books and buying the ones that had value. I would also scan any new items I found at the thrift store, because a lot of people get rid of things when they are still new in the box.
I made my first sale two days after my first shipment hit the shelves, that was really exciting! Now that I have over 200 items in the Amazon warehouse, I'm starting to see a little more money each week. Yesterday, I had my best sales day yet (granted everything ships). I sold 5 items yesterday, one of which was a $127 book that I thrifted for $2. In one day, my ordered product sales were $207.42! That is my BEST DAY so far!
Keeping my spirits up!
Ever since the Squidoo fall, I've been working very hard to pick up the slack. It's hard sometimes to pick yourself up and keep going when you take a hit like that. So, how do I do it? How do I stay motivated to keep going and never give up?
Working at home is not a job - it's a lifestyle. It's a lifestyle that I have become very fond of. I enjoy staying home with my children, I enjoy having the freedom to do whatever it is I want to do. It's going to take a lot more than some website ripping me off to change how I feel about working from home.
God is my SOURCE. Amazon, Share-a-Sale, Squidoo, etc - those are just instruments that God uses but God, and only God, is my TOTAL SOURCE. When I lose an income, I know that God is still my source. My need is His need, HIS SUPPLY is my supply. According to God's riches - not man's, I will prosper. I will give God my best and in return, He will give me His best! If God is for me, nothing, and I mean nothing, can stand against. Once these truths resonate deep in your mind, heart and soul - you are limitless!
Robin has something exciting in the works.....

I got the email that every FBA seller wants to see! "Your payment is on it's way" This is my second payment in the FBA Seller program, it's a little smaller than my first. I made a total of $193.66 after shipping, Amazon FBA seller fees. Not bad. I hope to learn more and apply it so that I can increase this quite a bit. I have about 200 items in my inventory that are active and I make a sale or two a day from them. The stuff I do have is not necessarily high ranking stuff so it may sit a little while, I have a lot of older books for sale mostly. I'm just getting started but I am learning and have a lot of cool ideas!
I like Robin, she's the real deal, I also believe in her online course that teaches newbies how to make money online. What I love about this course is that she is always adding to it and she doesn't charge extra for the updates.
My First Amazon FBA Payment! Hooray!
I got my first payment sent to me and that makes me super duper happy! I'm on my way to making lots more - I can just feel it! I love how God always takes care of me. What others mean for harm, He turns to good. persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; - 2 Corinthians 4:9
Ever since Squidoo locked all my lenses nearly 3 weeks ago, I've been wondering what I can do to pick up the extra income. As always, God provided a route and a guide to my newest adventure, which has been selling on Amazon. Yes, I've been selling items on Amazon rather than for Amazon, which is really kind of weird. I'm happy to report that I shipped off my first shipment two weeks ago and it has been received. Just yesterday, I made my first sale!
I still plan to keep writing for my blogs and respectable websites like WritEdge because that is my number one passion. I love blogging first and foremost but I am really digging this Amazon FBA adventure too!
