Had to move my WordPress sites to a new hosting account.. sounds sucky!
I have a serious love/hate relationship with WordPress and all things associated with it. I love how flexible it is but I hate all the tech stuff that comes with having a WordPress site.
Anyway, had to make a move and I had no clue where to even begin!
Even when I asked people to talk to me like I was a two year old - it still sounded complicated. FTP? How about WTF?! I am seriously that clueless to this stuff - I'm a writer and marketer at heart, not really a tech person at all.
Needless to say, I just walked away and did what I do best - paid someone else to handle these things for me.
At first I tried to have Hostgator do it for me but wow, that took forever. 2-3 days went by and no one had even responded to my ticket that I submitted.
Impatient me decided to just take another route and pay someone on Fiverr to do it. Yay! It ended up being a much cheaper option in the long run too! Don't you love it when that happens?!
I noticed Spark4Hope because she had high ratings and I've always had really good luck with people on Fiverr with high ratings.
My friend that had my websites on her hosting account contacted her because I really had no clue what I was talking about when it comes to moving a website. They got the technical stuff all squared away and all I did was help pay for it.
She charged $30 to move 3 websites from one hosting account to another one. That included a back-up copy of the websites on a cloud drive.
Spark4Hope (aka Maria) had my sites moved in less than 24 hours and all I did was point the nameservers on GoDaddy and I was done.
It was seriously painless.
