DO NOT BE A COPY OF SOMEONE ELSE!
Even if that person is making an killing - it's not an excuse. You might scrape a few sales, but really, all you're getting is crumbs from the master's table, like a dog would.
You can have the same topics but still be you!!
You don't have to copy every aspect of someone else in a topic!
The money is in being an original and having your own unique way of saying and doing things.
Take me for example, I have a blog about toys, lots of people have blogs about toys, but I'm not trying to be anyone but me. I talk like me. I say what I would say - I'm not trying to sound like Amazon or anyone else.
What you copy is what you see on the surface, you have NO CLUE what kind of power is behind a blog post. You can't possibly ever know that.
The effort some people spend copying others when they could have something really awesome blossoming out of the their own talents just kills me!!! All that effort spent copying when you could be trail blazing your own way! Sad.
Learning from someone and copying them are two different things. You can learn things from someone else's work without trying to copy it to a "T."
People that do this don't know their own value. It's sad.
I feel bad more than mad at those that try to copy me.
Everyone has unique gifts and talents to share. You can have a completely different spin on the same topic that other bloggers and retailers have already covered. No one else has your thoughts, your experiences and your value to a topic.
A copy is NEVER as good as the original.
